With macOS Catalina, developers such as Bose can easily bring their iOS apps straight to macOS via Mac Catalyst ! This makes a macOS Bose app an absolute no brainer! As they won't have to develop a whole new app for macOS! This will vastly improve usability as you would be able to change ANC and other settings without leaving your computer and having to inconveniently grab your phone. It appears that I'm not the only one who thinks so as this Bose community forums post has over 60 000 views! What's great is that the Bose iOS app doesn't need to be changed at all, it'll look and work great on the Mac just as it is! (How do you find the concept I made?) More on reddit.com

Unfortunately Soundtouch is the only Bose app available on Mac OS. I've had it work on Ventura but it may require a reinstall. More on reddit.com

Like you I use my headphones all the time and since the last year, I've used them connected to my Laptop 90% of the time. I've had my headphones die on me multiple times during video calls & focused work and it's due to me not charging them because I don't know that they are close to dying, unfortunately, Bose decided not to make the connect app for laptops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ After a few months of getting frustrated with this, I decided to do something about it & I figured out how the official app communicates with the headphones and I replicated this on Mac I honestly thought that this was going to be easy but it took me far longer than I expected and went down a rabbit hole of Bluetooth At the moment it only works for Mac but please let me know if you're interested in a Windows or Linux version and I'll make it happen :) Let me address the Elephant in the room: I'm charging 9 dollars (USD) for the app I understand this might seem steep seeing as we already paid 200/300+ dollars for the headphones but I'm trying to become an indie developer full-time and I've spent a lot of time trying to polish up the app so that it works just as good if not better than the original Bose connect app. Would really appreciate your thoughts & feedback :) More on reddit.com
