Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Zentro. Not sure about size. 24" vs 30".
Those who have a Zentro, what has your experience been?
Does the smokeless double-burn feature still work well? Is it holding up? Overall worth the $?
I'm building a new pation with fire pit encased in stone. The zentro is a lot more expensive than the x series free standing which surprised me. since it's just an insert. Does that make sense? Is the Zentro worth the difference? Thanks!
Came here last week inquiring about the Zentro and excavating my paver fire pit. Excavated properly, but also needed to remove and reset the paver caps.
Took an hour and a run to Home Depot, but got it done.
Thanks all!!

I’m currently in the process of building out a patio and the plan is to include a fire pit with a Breeo insert. When looking at options, it seems like the X Series pit can be inserted into the stone facade. My contractor recommended a Zentro as he can get one at a discount. They seem to be very similar but I can’t find a comparison. Does anyone know what the difference is?
X series fire pit is a free standing backyard smokeless fire pit that has the ability to be used on its own OR dropped into a brick surround if you so choose with the addition of an insert ring. Zentro fire pits can ONLY be inserted into a brick surround, they are not designed to be free standing. Personally if I was going to drop a fire pit into a brick surround I would go with an all stainless zentro. https://breeo.co/pages/zentro.
Both fire pits function the same when it comes to the smokeless.
If you won't ever need to have a free-standing fire pit (x-series) I think I'd go with a discounted Zentro. For your purposes you'll never know the difference.
I think I’m dialed in on what we want, but want to make sure I’m not assuming anything wrong so thought I would ask the experts.
We’re looking at getting a 30” Zentro (non stainless). It will sit permanently in a poured concrete surround on our patio.
My questions are:
-
I’ve been reading that you shouldn’t put these directly on concrete as they will cause cracking. We will have flagstone set in concrete, but should I have the surround filled with gravel to go under the Zentro itself?
-
any potential issues with using concrete for the surround rather than brick or stone?
-
Anything else I should be aware of with the zentro specifically or with utilizing a surround rather than freestanding?
-
We plan to do a lot of cooking, so I’m considering getting the sear plate as well. Is this silly? Will I probably be fine with just the exposed ring of the Zentro itself?
I just got the Zentro insert and I love it so far. My only question is what to do during periods of inactivity. I saw the X and Y series have covers, but I’m not really sure how to cover this one. Would it simply be best to pull the insert during the winter and store it in my garage or something? Or do you think it would be ok to just leave out year round with just the cover plate on it?
