We went with Delta champagne bronze for our remodel. We do not have a freestanding tub (drop in) but the tub faucet was still ridiculously expensive. Also, I noticed that the color is not consistent across the different delta “models”. We got the Nicoli sink and shower faucets but the Mylan for the towel rod, toilet paper holder etc and it’s a different shade of champagne bronze. I like the Nicoli much more but they don’t offer accessories More on reddit.com

well... the bad news is that just like with copper you have to expect them to get a patina. But there are other types of 'gold' faucets that won't fade, they're just not made of bronze but some other alloy. More on reddit.com

Is there any other hardware that will have to be a specific color? Are your appliances stainless? If you know you'll have a bunch of stainless for other fixtures/appliances, I'd go with that. If this hardware is the only thing that will be non-gold, I'd also go with stainless because it will stick out less. I'd only do the black/oil-rubbed if you will have other matching hardware somewhere in kitchen. More on reddit.com
