How can I upgrade my Capital One Venture card to Venture X?
What are the disadvantages of the Capital One Venture X?
Is there a better card than Capital One Venture?
Hi everyone! I've been doing research on getting my first rewards card, mostly for travel. I have CapOne Savor, so I was looking into the Venture X since it is recommended a lot. However, I realized that Venture and Venture X are extremely similar. If I don't value the $300 travel credit and my home airport doesn't have a capital one lounge, does it make more sense to just get the Venture since I still get global entry credit (which I want). They both have the same SUB and 2x on everything which is extremely ideal for me. Is there something I'm missing? It seems as though the travel protections are the same as well, but Venture is only $95. Thanks!
EDIT: Update! I ended up going with the Venture X. I have at least 3 flights this year that I haven't booked yet that the travel credit will likely come in handy for. Worse case is I'll downgrade to the Venture, but thank you all for the helpful breakdowns and insights :) unrelated, but here's to hoping that Southwest flights get added to the CapOne portal at some point 🤞🏿
Considering the current $250 bonus limited offer that Venture is offering, what's the best choice Venture vs Venture X considering a user who never had C1 cards and travel international 1-2 times a year and domestic 2-3 times a year.
I am a college student, only have 1 cashback credit card with BofA and between a 750-780 credit score. my spending isn’t that big, just regular bills like internet, rent, phone bill, gym membership, groceries, etc. I’ve been looking into building something, getting some points while just paying these day to day things. Would getting the VentureOne and start building make more sense or wait couple years until I can afford the yearly 400 bucks fee? I think getting the VentureOne makes sense, but just wanted a second opinion. I know in the future I would like to get the VentureX, and when the time comes would closing down the VentureOne and getting the VentureX be a smart move? what do you guys think? Thank you guys!
