Hello,
I purpose an age-old question: what is the best, most reliable, color laser printer under $500 with a low TCO (affordable toner, low repair rates, etc.) A tall, perhaps, nigh impossible, order for sure.
We’re currently an HP shop but I’ve been having a hard time stomaching the high cartridge costs and I’m done with after-market cartridges (countless smearing and toner dumps always related to defective cartridges). That said I’m not necessarily fully opposed to HP if there’s an option with a reasonable TCO.
This particular printer will be pushing about an average of 15 full-color and 25 B&W pages per day. We need consistent quality prints with decent color reproduction but my expectations are in line with the price range.
Any suggestions for this unicorn printer?
Does it have to be laser? PageWide Pro 452dw fits the bill other than being ink-based.
