Woof. What a dog.
When did Pratt lose it? Jurassic World seems to make the most sense. It’s like he’s worked out exactly what makes him a compelling leading man and decided to only make things that don’t play to that. My question is why? Did he really want to be a tier one operator that badly?
The movie is decent but I'm annoyed at some of the main character's choices. First off, he didn't need to try and save his adult future daughter, as her timeline is different to his. Second, there must be some implications from making her come back to his timeline, like a paradox.
I get the whole I'm going to be a saviour dad but God that part was annoying. Also, the way the team administered the toxin into the alien sacks is a whole other issue entirely. The scream and dying alerted the other aliens to wake up. What a stupid move. Of course they will be alerted. Why couldn't they just get out of there and nuke the ship? Instead of wasting your time and costing two people their lives. In that way, the end fight wouldn't have happened with the mother alien. Take more bombs than poison.
Furthermore, trying to save his kids life would have resulted in her death anyway if he was killed before the time jump. Who would have saved the world then? Your damn ghost?
