Works fine for me. It’s not my regular browser, but I have it installed. It’s native on the m1. Answer from Deleted User on reddit.com

r/apple on Reddit: How has Chrome been on the M1 Macs (compared to Intel Macs)
September 4, 2021 -

Hi friends,

I've got a fully loaded M1 Mac Mini on the way. I've been using my fully loaded i9 MBP 16" for over a year now and in general that thing just feels sluggish. I work in software so I do programming and usually have dozens of tabs open. Chrome is slow as heck on the Intel Mac. I really wanted to switch to Safari but it seems like this is not an option because I need to have separate sandboxes for my work accounts and personal accounts.

So how has Chrome been since it released it's native M1 compatible version?

September 5, 2025 - First, is the overall responsiveness the M1 provides. While I can’t compare apples to apples between devices running Chrome OS and macOS, I can share a few key performance measures. Take a look at this Octane benchmark, for example, using the ARM version of the Chrome browser on the MacBook Air: I’ve run this benchmark on dozens of Chromebooks through the years and about the highest score I’ve ever seen is around 45,000 points. And that was on a then-recent Intel Core i5 processor.
