Anyone have experience with Makitas 18v die grinder? Pros and cons.

Love mine for cutting inside pipes and for using deburring tools. My only issue with it is no variable speed control and you really have to hold on tight and make sure can get to the switch to turn it off.

I love mine, good power and even being a brushed motor it gets decent battery life. Only con is that being a battery tool it can be a bit awkward in tight spaces.

We have this one at work and it has been through hell and back. We once had to "mill" out round holes to be oval in half inch thick steel plate , 56 holes in total and it still works great.

The ancient brushed LXT die grinders are almost certainly just a head slapped on an angle grinder body. I wonder if you could put the die grinder head on a newer brushless variable speed angle grinder body? I'm thinking probably not, but maybe with a 3D printed adapter? More on reddit.com
