There's a disclaimer in the manual telling you never to hotplug, unplug the fans while the PC is on. When you unplugged it, the controller doesn't scan continuously to see if you reconnected it. It's getting the power passthrough but the data connection needs to be reestablished. You can power cycle your PC to try to get the controller to force re-enumeration. Pull the power cord from the wall, hit your power button some, let the PC sit for a minute, plug back in and power on. More on reddit.com

Is rated current the same as what Corsair has labeled “Power Draw” on their other fans technical specs? If so, this is nearly 10x as high as their ML120 Elite RGB, which happen to be my favorite Corsair fan for both performance & looks. Seems like most Corsair fans are around .30A but the ML120 Elite RGB pulls only .12A. Would be pretty wild to see a fan use 1.02A when everything else use far far less power. I feel like I missed something very significant before buying these, but I've just bought a triple set of QX120 fans, along with a single QX120 fan to plug in at the top, however, as you can see, the connections are reversed on the single QX120 fan, meaning it cannot coonnect to the triple in any way.
I was under the impression that these fans could all connect to each other, regardless of if it was a triple or a single fan. If I'm mistaken then please let me know!

UPDATE: I have since discovered that the male ports can be removed and swapped to the other side, very nice feature 👍 I'm going to assume that the people that asked me to 'just rotate the fans' were under the impression that I was aware of the feature above; and if so, thanks for your time, but I just needed to know of that extra step that needed doing prior to rotating the fans xD Thanks for all of your help

I took on Corsair's new DIY iCue Link system just as any good PC builder would: with no instructions
June 27, 2023 - I ended up creating a chained loop of cables from one side of the System Hub, into the triple fan intake, up into the top-mounted AIO radiator, and then back down to feed into the other side of the System Hub. I then simply attached the single QX120 exhaust fan to the other end of the AIO radiator.

The custom fan curves in the iCUE software keep disappearing/resetting and the firmware update (2.9.488) just keeps refusing which is annoying (even if you follow the instructions). Corsair need to fix the software or the instructions.

I just finished myself, there were virtually no 'LINK' videos on youtube. and just yesterday the quickstart guide went 404 on the corsair website...there is no plug on the pump itself anymore so, while I figured it out, a video would have been quite nice.

Anyone have this problem and a solution?
I decided to move some stuff around today and disconnected the link cable from my system hub while the PC was running. On re-connect, the fans powered on but there are no lights on and they aren't detected in iCue. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling iCue, restarting PC, etc and I just can't get them to detect again.
Any ideas?

Hello! So I had the other half of this problem where the fans were flashing red randomly and I couldn't control the RGB. I would advise you to check the connections on your MoBo, fans, PSU, and the link cable, and give this other post a read and see if it lines up with what's going on with your build. My RGB issue was because iCUE and Razer Synapse were fighting for control of the LINK hub. and after deleting Synapse, seems like it has stopped losing control and flashing red. https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/1584v71/extensive_problems_with_icue_link_fanshub/
