Their Kirkland Lager is brewed by Deschutes. Absolutely fantastic. First can I gave it maybe a 3.5/5, but I keep coming back to it in my fridge. Probably give it a solid 4/5 now. Great beer.

I am constantly disappointed by the lack of any unique or interesting bottles at my Chicago area warehouses. I regularly go to Clybourn (Chicago), Niles, Melrose Park and even get out to the North Riverside store every few weeks. The selection is typically as pedestrian as it gets with only the big brands of mediocre liquor. I'm always so jealous of the images of California stores and other states that get in such great stuff. Why do the Chicago area stores have such a weak selection?

We do get them, but they're generally scooped really fast. I think those other stores may get more / more frequently. I did ask one of the liquor manager people in a suburban store about some specific bottles and she looked up and said that there weren't any in all of IL or WI either available or on order. I don't remember the specific bottle, though... *edit (that I'm sure nobody will read...) but we get f-ed on drops. Watching all those western states get the good stuff, we get skunked consistently.
