Thoughts on LG washer/dryer
LG has a bad habit of disabling some features until you connect to wifi. My model LG washer did t have that problem but mysteriously required my precise GPS location just to add the washer to my wifi, I simply chose not to give their app unnecessary gps access thus it wouldn’t let me add the clothes washer to wifi. I use it without wifi, and I’m missing out on a couple of soft features like alerts to my phone when the cycle is done and a custom setting option Has to be programmed via the app. I’ve heard I’m missing different chimes to load as well. Is anyone using any of these washer/dryer? Any thoughts or recommendations of any others you are using? I am looking for a top load washer, and thinking of getting electric dryer instead of gas. Do they work the same?

I’m about to purchase a new washer and dryer. Costco has the set for $1579 (with the tax added in). LG has the same set for $1329 (with the tax added in). Both include free install and haul away. And an extra year of warranty from LG and Costco is an extra 2 years. I’m torn. I think I’ll have better service with Costco if something goes wrong and a longer return period if the set is a dud. But $250 is a big difference for me and my family. Anyone have experience buying direct from LG or Costco for a washer or dryer?
