Why are FB Marketplace and Craigslist more difficult in NYC?
Best Rental Site: Still Craigslist?
Basement dwellers are ruining the Craigslist activity section
Is there any way to block a specific account because they spam? I have flagged this business for months now.

I've been here for 5 years and have noticed that FB Marketplace and Craigslist not only have less listings per capita than many other places, but have unusually unrealistic pricing.
In other places I've lived, the FB Marketplace and Craigslist scenes have a yard sale or thrift store vibe. People are trying to move things. Here, people don't seem in touch with what their things are worth. Prices also don't reflect the time and effort needed to pick something up (like a piece of furniture, or anything in a different neighborhood) here. You would think that with 8+ million people with limited storage space, the used markets would be unmatched in NYC. However, this isn't the case. Not to mention all of the "sublet my room for 3 weeks" posts that are flooding the housing sections.
Have others experienced this? Are folks having better luck within other marketplaces I'm not familiar with, or are people here just not favoring the used market at all?
Hey folks! I’ll be looking at renting a different apartment or room soon. Previously (years ago), I used Craigslist and apartments.com for San Francisco. Are those still the best ways to find a spot? Or are there better ones now? Thanks!
Note: will be looking for a spot in duboce triangle or mission close to bart.
Some guy simply wanted to play catch with an older man and he wanted to be the catcher while the older guy is the pitcher . We all know what the guy truly wanted but the basement dweller had to flag his ad .
I can’t even make post looking for movie partners without someone flagging and being jealous which doesn’t make any sense . It’s like dude make your own ad and stop being a dick and flagging every person’s post .
Be like that old classic song and let it be
