April 18, 2019 - You can use a redstone torch to break any connection or block connection from any side of the pipe, after this you will see a YELLOW square on the cable. ... I have tried everything (including the wooden wrench in Cyclic itself) and pretty much any wrench won't work. The only thing I've ever found that does, is the redstone torch method, you will know it works because it will give a message in (in the area where held item names are shown, not in chat) saying "Blocked cable connection <direction>" or "Restored cable connection <direction>" plus it will "mark" that direction yellow--kind of like putting a yellow plug on there--anyone who remembers BuildCraft's Pipe Plugs will know what I mean.

I'm using cyclic item cables for the first time as this pack has no early game alternatives, and at my AFK dye farm they keep taking sand from the input chest despite non of the barrels being filled with dyed water.
How big is their internal inventory, and is there a way to force them to only extract items if they have an inventory to export into?

honestly no clue but I think they recently add the ender conduits or smt like that. much better pipes in my opinion

AFAIK they have a single inventory slot. The filter card used by them can be hit or miss. The cable should not be extracting from a container unless you have right clicked it with a wrench.

May 1, 2020 - I'm developing a modpack and have found Item Cable intersections cannot be disconnected. There must be a space between as in the furnaces on the left for the cables to not connect. The ones on the right always connect and cannot be configured with the Cable Wrench.

So I am playing Sky Factory 4 and am trying to use Cyclic fluid cables to automate my lava gen. Now I'm trying to prevent the cables from connecting to each other, but seem unable to 'wrench' them using any of the hammers/wrenches included in the pack. I know its possible as I have done it before,

So, im trying to do an automated autocrafter station with al the trees, but, when I add items to the cyclic item extraction whitelist, it just ignore it and still let it pass other items.

Never cared for the cyclic item extracted anyway. I would use the item conduit from ender io.

I’m gonna guess that what you’re seeing is the cables start grabbing items while you’re setting the whitelist, clogging up immediately. Start with an empty container so it has nothing to grab. Or, and I think this is easier, instead of placing the cable on the container, place the cable on the ground or another adjacent block, set your white/blacklist, then use a wrench to rotate the cable’s engagement port onto your intended container.
