I'm in the process of changing all my bedding and it has been a shockingly frustrating process. I feel like I've spent weeks Googling and getting overwhelmed with conflicting information--some people say this brand is amazing, other people say it's awful. A million different materials and companies and colors and complaints to try to sift through.
I'm looking for a deep green queen-sized duvet cover, and have only found this H&M one. I ordered one and the color is great, but it is ridiculously thin and there isn't a closure at the bottom, it's just open. And this Blue Nile Mills one, which seems to have bad reviews.
There are some microfiber sets on Amazon, but I'm not interested in microfiber.
Lots of places seem to make sage, or olive, or hunter green, but I'm just not seeing many other options for a deep, rich medium forest green like that. Does anyone have a suggestion?
I think I'd like cotton percale. Sateen is fine too. I don't think I'm ready to branch out into linen.

I'm on a similar quest, it's surprising how unpopular green is. You've probably already figured this out, but in addition to forest green you might find search terms such as "fern", "army green", and "moss" to be useful. I don't think anything I've found is quite what you're looking for, but they are at least not sage/olive/hunter, so I'd thought I'd share: (1) This one just went out of stock, it has bad reviews but the color is nice. It may be easier to get neutral bedding and incorporate forest green with throw pillows or a coverlet.

I have a suggestions but it's crazy expensive, not the material you were looking for and it is custom-made: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1131287757/100-mulberry-silk-velvet-hand-stitched?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=silk+velvet+quilt&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&frs=1&organic_search_click=1 Etsy has some amazingly beautiful quilts/blankets that can come in a lot of eye-catching and stunning colors, though for really vibrant colors like forest green, usually only materials like silk velvet can pull it off in a way that really pops. I found this seller looking for silk inserts (because I love silk inserts and wanted to see what handmade options were available for it) and I stumbled upon this seller's silk velvet offerings that really tempted me into wanting to get it. This particular quilt pattern they make comes in a variety of amazing colors that you can handpick and all of them are pretty vivid and lovely to the eye---including the forest-green type color you're speaking of (Neon Green or Juniper seems somewhat close, if that's the type of 'forest green' you're talking about). It also comes in two-tone so you can get two colors (besides the embroidery) that go well together and really pops on your bed (the customer pictures have some lovely combos, for sure). The downside is... it's really frickin expensive ($400+), it's dry clean only and it takes a while to make since it's made in Vietnam :( If you want to stick with just a duvet cover, though... if you want a cotton duvet that's a brilliant forest green they exist but they're not only hard to find usually, but they are (like you've mentioned) thin quality. The GSM for most duvet covers are pretty thin for cotton usually and the higher the gsm of cotton, the thicker/heavier/more expensive it'll be. Linen, in counterpoint, can come in forest green, too, and is easier to find a heavier canvas linen from, but the prices for that are pretty high and the colors usually aren't as vibrant. I didn't think I'd like my canvas linen duvet because the texture wasn't silky smooth, but getting a high quality linen duvet has made a believer out of me and I care more about its weight and breathability than its softness, in the end; linen duvets aren't for everyone, but there's something to be said about having a duvet cover that not only keeps the insert better in place because of its heavier weight, but the better breathability and longevity high-quality linen duvet covers offer. The reality is that the heavier the material the more expensive it'll get ($500+), especially if it's a rarer or brighter color. I would recommend anything higher than 250 GSM for linen (300+ if you can find it, as that'll be closer to linen canvas territory). The same goes for cotton (250+ gsm for heavier weights). But, again... they'll be pricey and heavier gsm for linens will be easier for you to find than cotton :( Hope that helps and let me know if you have any more questions. I'm looking for a good duvet cover in this color and can't find emerald green anywhere. There's a ton of cheap chinese made duvet covers made of polyester and such, but I can't find a deep cool green color from any good brand, closest I've found is teal. There's a lot of light and faded looking greens, but I want something strikingly green and just can't find it in a quality duvet cover anywhere. I'm looking for something cool and breathable like cotton or linen. Does anyone know where I could find something like this.
