Dell Command Update
Hello Community,
I use Dell Command Update to install updates on my Dell XPS DA16260.
Officially—according to my service tag—Dell recommends DCU version 5.4.0, A00
(https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=6vfww&oscode=w2021&productcode=xps-da16260-laptop&lwp=rt)
However, there is a universal, significantly newer version: 5.7.0, A00
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=FGK9X
Is there any reason not to use the latest version?
trying to put together a batch file or powershell i can deploy to remotely set up dell command update settings to download drivers automatically and prompt for install any suggestions?
Looking to see what is the best way you have implemented Dell Command Update?
Do you use Proactive Remediations?
We want the Dell Command Update version to update itself. So I looked into just building it as the Win32 without the Proactive Remediations.
What are your thoughts?
