I purchased this refurbished pc for my son for gaming. Is this a decent setup for gaming or should I consider upgrades. I've read a lot about theses old 790s being upgraded for cheep. This one came with a few upgrades already. Thoughts?
I'm a Mac guy, but love a good linux server. I'm currently using an older Dell Optiplex with 8GB of RAM and an Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.10GHz. It's pretty slow. So I'm thinking I should probably upgrade. I saw this offer on Dell for a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-12400, 8GB RAM for $399.99. Judging by the CPU Benchmark scores, it's a huge leap in performance, and at $399.99, it seems like a great deal. But I'm not totally sold. It seems too good to be true.
The server I have now runs Docker with Plex and associated software.
Thanks in advance!

With the help of VulcansAreSpaceElves I was able to do a DIY build for cheaper than Dell was offering. Total cost for everything was $378.09
