I’m in the market for a laptop. Mostly for work but will do some occasional gaming. Mostly Fortnite.
I’d prefer to stick to what’s available at Costco for their 90day return policy and extra 12mo warranty on top of manufacturer’s warranty.
$899 USD
Yay? Nay?
I've the exact same laptop and it gives 240-260 fps constant and 300 plus when overclocked. that much fps and performance for an 800 dollars laptop is a steal. However do make sure to get support and download all drivers and contact the call centre incase of overheating during warranty period so they'll swap out your fan for a new one for free.
Yay
EDIT: I BOUGHT THIS ONE. THANKS EVERYONE!
I'm in the market for a new laptop and my budget was initially 1500 AUD. However there is a Dell G15 on sale with specs mentioned for 1900 AUD (which is a good 1000 AUD off). This video is of the same laptop. I figure I wouldn't have to upgrade again for a good 4 or 5 years with this right? I don't play too many AAA games right now but I am looking to get Sony's PC releases and God of War doesn't look or feel the best on my 1050ti.
I haven't seen too many reviews of this up but the main complaints seem to be
only 512GB SSD with no option of upgrading at time of sale or in the future
inadequate underside airflow
Dell software doesn't work well
What do you reckon?
Considering 2021 legion 5 3060 goes for 1.8k aud in sales. this is a good deal.
Lack of extra ssd slot can be partially fixed with an external ssd (albeit it would be slower than built in pcie) and while cooling is not the best but its more than enough for 130w 3070ti.
anz laptop prices are just kinda fucked with a ge77 cost 7k+aud and when a asus tuf cost 2.5k+ aud we dont got much choices.
Do you have a link to the unit you are interested in? Would be good to see which one it is
