That Kohler cartridge will not fit into your Delta valve. You will need to get a Delta replacement cartridge or replace the valve with the right Kohler valve. Yes, you do have a mismatch. You need to get the old cartridge out first and then go from there to get a replacement.

Can you ask your plumber what part is needed? That would seem to be the most direct route rather than throwing parts at it. If they're holding out, might look at RP46074, which looks similar to the part you purchased. RP19804 also supposedly work with some 13/14 series valves as well. More on reddit.com

May 13, 2022Replaced shower head & arm, Delta Type P cartridge and handle, and tub faucet today for finish/matching reasons in 2 bathrooms and now have a slow leak from both tub faucets, would appreciate some advice for a probably simple issue
Try to take out the cartridge and see if there is any debris in the valve body that needs flushed out. Is the cartridge a genuine Delta one? I've heard of some aftermarket ones having issues. Other than that, and more unlikely scenarios, pitting in the body and/or house water pressure can cause issues like this. More on reddit.com
