Sufficiently powerful? Really operating around 65dba? Is it a new kind of filter and bag? I need some more high-velocity spot dust collection for tools and a dust-catcher under my table saw.

The Good & The Bad. 6 and 6.5hp I've found the stealth vs standard have very similar suction when it comes to sucking up water. If anything the stealth may have a bit better suction. Obviously the noise is a huge difference. Now for the bad part. I build swimming pools. So I'm always sucking out water and debris. I killed 3 stealth 16g in just two pools use. I'd guess around an adverage of 3hrs of run time on each. One probably didn't even last a half hour. I would typically get apx 1 year of use out of the standard (non stealth) before they sh!t the bed. My conclusion is what ever they're doing to muffle the sound is allowing water inside and killing electronics. Also another side note: shortly before they quit running the noise pitch will change to a higher pitch. Sounds like it's turning more rpms with less load. Like reving a car engine with clutch pedal pressed in vs driving under load. And I don't even think that has to do with water as my smaller 12gal stealth did the same thing and it never saw water. I was running the three I killed without a filter. Never have ran filters on any previous generations. Tried using the included filter on the 4th stealth and so far its holding strong. fingers crossed It's got two complete pools under its belt so far. It does suck that I'm having to run the filter as it robs suction, gets clogged, and takes up more volume inside the vac. I am constantly topping off vac with water/mud/gunite aggregate. Then dropping in a sump pump to empty vac and repeat. Tonight I found an old stock pre stealth 16g with stainless can. I purchased it for the head. Will put that head on my plastic stealth tank if/when this 4th stealth craps out.. I prefer the plastic cans vs stainless simply because they take a beating sliding around a course pool. And getting slammed on their roof to empty debris. I feel the ss can would bend up and just be an issue. Sorry so long. Just wanted to add my experience as most people only talk kindly of them. But most people also aren't putting them to the extreme and sucking a lot of water.
