Balance needs to stay at/over the 15k or 25k threshold through 10/30 to get the bonus...at least that's what I read... assuming the funding cut off was 9/30. Should double check the written correspondence you received to know what applies to your situation.

Yes you need to keep it in there for some amount of time. It’s somewhere in the fine print. 45 days or maybe 90 days. I can’t recall exactly.

Unless you think the rate of return with other investments is going to be lower than 3.8% I see no reason to do 10 years. Just do the short term ones for the 5.3%.
