I looked and saw on the website you can get a cd with a high APY. I saw you can get a 10 year cd with a 3.80% APY. I used an estimator and put $2,500 in it and it said I can earn $1,130 with the 10 year cd. Should I go for it? What’s your guys’s experience with discover cd

Offer code for CD
Has anyone gotten this offer for $150 if you deposit $15,000 within 45 days and $400 if you deposit $45,000? I’m contemplating the offer but only if I can time it so that I can deposit $15,000 cash I have on hand in another HYS account and then have our direct deposits hit over the next 45 days to get us close to the $45,000 and figure out if I can find some more cash. My only question is - can I deposit and withdraw or does there have to be $45,000 total sitting in there at one time?
Repost. I have over $27k spread throughout different Discover savings accounts (it's just how I categorize what I'm saving for). Should I just transfer it all out to another bank, then back into the one Discover account? This seems too easy & I feel like there's a catch lol...
Hi, I opened my first HYSA with Discover and put in the promo code for the bonus $150-$200 given for $15,000-$25,000 deposit. How long and where does the bonus $ get added to? Does it go straight into the Discover HYSA after a week or so?
How long did it take you guys?
It was there the next day on top of the existing balance. You will have to file a 1099-INT form for taxes next year FYI.
I opened my account/deposited the required funds in early January and my bonus didn’t show up until February 1st. Bonus went straight to my account and displays as the line item “Account Promotion”.
Received an email from Discover offering additional cash back at Amazon, email contents pasted below:
“Earn up to $30 extra cash back when you shop at Amazon.com
That's an extra 6% cash back when you shop at Amazon.com, on up to $500 in new purchases through June 30, 2025.* This is in addition to the Discover® rewards you're already earning!

Check your inboxes folks, they’re random but I’ve gotten several in the past 6 months for various extra categories with varied spending.
I'm currently trying to open up a discover high-yield savings account and don't know what to enter for the "Offer Code (Optional)" part. I read online that there is a bonus for depositing over 25k. What is the code? Thanks
I'm interested in using a Discover savings account offer code to qualify for the $150 or $200 opening bonus, which requires a deposit of $15,000 or $25,000 within the first 30 days. Does anyone know the minimum period that deposit has to remain in the account to keep the bonus? Also, once I meet the deposit requirement, can I withdraw or use the funds freely?
Recently got the 1% debit because it seems like more businesses are charging for credit.
I want to get the overdraft protection by keeping my money in a savings account and appreciating in value.
I'm wondering how other people were able to get a promo code. Is there something they want you to do to get the offer?
I’ve never found anywhere that Discover comments on any length of time to leave the money in after you receive the bonus. Most other institutions have some stipulation in regard to that.
They really don’t care if you bounce shortly after you get it?
Anyone had issues with this bank?
I’ve been looking for places to open up a HYSA and Discover seemed like the best fit out all the banks I researched. I strictly want to use Discover for my HYSA. I plan keeping my checking account with my current bank for the time being.
For the people in a similar boat (or anyone wanting to chime in) : What is your experience like? Any issues or complains? Is there any hassle moving money between banks / accounts?
Hi!
In order to get the Discover Savings account opening bonus of 150$/200$ on a deposit of 15k/25k USD within the first 30 days, What is the minimum holding period of that deposit in the account? Am I allowed to use the funds once the requirement is met?
I feel cheated by Discover bank. Within 10 days of opening up my new/first time Discover bank savings account, I deposited $25k from an external bank. 30 days later Discover deposited $150 into the savings for account promotion. The account promotion was $150 for $15k or $200 for $25k. I called Discover bank and they told me they see that I added $25k into my new savings within 30 days but they will have to do research and it will take 3 weeks. $50 isn't a big difference but I earned it and it is the principle of the matter. Has this happened to anyone else?
I want to signup for Discover HYSA. There is a signup bonus, but it seems unclear if I need to keep my deposit for a period of time to get the bonus. Has anyone done this offer? How'd it go?

Thinking about opening a couple of CD accounts with Discover. I'm aware that the interest from these accounts are taxed, which I'm prepared for, but I'm confused over the terms they offer.
Do I have to withdraw my money from the CD at the end of the term, let's call it 18 months? Or would I be able to leave it in to keep earning the higher interest rate? Trying to figure out whether to go with a CD or a HYSA.
If you have one or both of these account how do you like it?
I currently have SoFi which I have been happy with but I am a fan of my discover Credit Card and think I’d like to have a one stop shop.
Received this promo from Discover to open their savings account to receive a $200 bonus ($25K deposit) or $150 bonus ($15K deposit).
Question: in the T&C, they mention: “Qualifying deposit(s) may consist of multiple deposits and must post to Account within 45 days of account open date. Maximum bonus eligibility is $200. Account must be open when bonus is credited. Bonus will be credited to the account within 60 days of the account qualifying for the bonus.”
If anyone has done this before, is it possible to deposit the money to trigger the bonus, and then pull it out next day?
