Single vs Dual kitchen sink

Single large sink 100%. The ability to put roasting pans, fry pans, etc in the sink and actually wash them without splashing everywhere is a game changer. Need to get a pull out mixed too to utilise the bigger sink imo. More on reddit.com

Whats the point in a double kitchen sink? Also a question about kitchen islands...

I always assumed it was so you could have soapy water in one side to wash the dishes and rinse the dishes on the other side. The ones that are more like 2/3, 1/3 splits are nice so that they have more room for bigger pans, etc.
