I'm new to DB's music and have only recently listened to "I Kind of Relate" (I love the song! The music video is brilliant too). I also love that he's still got that wonderful voice he had in "Find A Way" (I know - the nostalgia is iconic). I still do think DB is one of the most underrated vocalists of my generation.
As for music I like - my age is showing, but my favorite genres are R&B (R&B is always my #1 favorite genre of all-time), soft rock, pop, indie, Britpop, and electronica.
Some of my favorite singers include Nelly Furtado (Nelly is my favorite songwriter), Neneh Cherry (she's the greatest rapper of all-time), Tori Kelly (it's a crime that Tori Kelly's music is underrated - her vocals are once in a lifetime & JoJo's vocals too), JoJo, Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes (another favorite of mine), Drake Bell (new to the playlist!), Coldplay, Charlie Puth, Zayn (another favorite of mine), Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, Lukas Graham (another favorite of mine), Years & Years, Florence & The Machine, Troye Sivan, Amy Winehouse (Once in a lifetime voice - no one was comparable to Amy when she was alive and there has never been any voice comparable since), Sia (Sia's my favorite singer of all-time), Mariah Carey (She's literally a walking goddess - when Mariah sings, birds come out of hibernation; how iconic is that? So many artists need to take notes from the living legend that is MC), Robin Thicke ("Lost Without You" is still one of my favorite R&B songs - timeless) - it's been 18 years and I still know all the words), Lily Allen (I don't know why, but during the pandemic, every time I heard "Somewhere Only We Know" (Lily's Version) and then would listen to "Anyone" by Demi Lovato, I started crying 9 times - it was 4 years ago and I still can't figure that mystery out, but that's the sign of a great singer and great lyricist.... too off-topic, anyway), Sugababes ("Taller In More Ways" - Mutya's Version - is their best album), All Saints, and there are so many more, but their names escape me right now.
I like mostly ballads, slow jams, folk, soft rock, lounge music and Britpop - I very rarely listen to male artists unless they don't use autotune (I've always hated autotune & I might sound a bit old school, but I love that DB is a natural singer who doesn't do all that AT).
I started a list of songs written and performed by Drake that aren’t on Spotify and it grew into quite a long list of his unreleased songs. Below is what I came up with so far. What did I miss? Anything listed not written by Drake?
