Dyson 360 Vis Nav Robot Vacuum Review
March 5, 2025 - The Dyson 360 Vis Nav is a high-end robot vacuum. As Dyson's flagship model, it has unusual features, like a D-shaped body for getting into corners, a large, ful...
People also ask

Is the Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum worth buying?

No, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav doesn't live up to the hype. Dyson claims that its first robot vacuum in almost a decade has twice the suction power of any robot vacuum on the market. While vacuuming was decent in testing done at Senior Shopping Reporter Leah Stodart's home, she wasn't as blown away by the results as she expected — and was full-on disappointed by the 360 Vis Nav's edge cleaning, despite Dyson asserting that the 360 Vis Nav uses a special side duct to reach into corners and along walls better than competitors.

And without a self-emptying dock, mopping capabilities, or small obstacle sensors that detect cords or pet waste (an absolute must in this price range), the Dyson 360 Vis Nav isn't even worth its most recent sale price of $499.95 at Amazon — let alone its original $1,199.99.

However, Dyson recently announced a new robot vacuum that does have premium features like mopping, self-emptying, and obstacle avoidance. I'm eager to get my hands on the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai to see if Dyson has patched its blind spots.

Dyson 360 Vis Nav Review - Vacuum Wars
Greetings Dyson community, We reviewed the Dyson 360 Vis Nav Robot Vacuum on our Vacuum Wars channel a few weeks ago and wanted to share our findings with you. After testing it over the past few weeks, we found that this vacuum excels in some areas but also has room for improvement. Pros: 1.      Powerful Suction: Dyson claims it has twice the suction power of any other robot vacuum, and our tests confirmed this. It had the highest suction power and airflow we've ever measured, even on its lowest power setting. 2.      Design: The D-shaped design allows for a wider brush bar, combining a soft roller, stiff nylon bristles, and anti-static carbon fiber filaments. This made it excellent for picking up debris on both hard floors and carpets. 3.      Pickup Ability: It performed exceptionally well with fine to extra-large debris, pet hair, and human hair on both surface types. 4.      Internal Dust Sensor: This feature boosts suction power in particularly dirty areas, and the app shows a heat map highlighting these spots. 5.      HEPA Filtration: The washable and reusable HEPA filter is a great addition, ensuring excellent filtration. 6.      Dustbin and Side Duct: The dustbin is larger than average and has a hygienic emptying mechanism. The unique extending side duct helps clean edges effectively. 7.      LED Screen: The vacuum features a detailed LED screen for easy operation. Cons: 1.      Lack of Modern Extras: It doesn't have mopping capability, an auto-empty bin, or front-mounted obstacle avoidance sensors, which are common in other high-end robot vacuums. 2.      Navigation System: The top-mounted vSLAM navigation system, similar to the old 360 Eye, was less effective than expected. The initial mapping took longer and wasn't very accurate. 3.      Battery Life: The official battery life is 65 minutes on low power, which is quite low. While it performs decently on low power, the battery drains quickly on max power. 4.      App Features: The app is not as feature-rich as other flagship robot vacuums, with basic no-go zones and scheduling options. Conclusion: The Dyson 360 Vis Nav showcases some of the best innovations in vacuuming, but the lack of a mop, auto-empty bin, obstacle avoidance, and the need for better navigation and battery life make it hard to justify its high price. But if suction power is a priority or the specific features and capabilities we’ve discussed meet your requirements, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav could be right for you. It’s all about aligning what this robot vacuum offers with what you prioritize in a cleaning device. Vacuum Wars website review More on reddit.com

Reviewing The Dyson 360 Vis Nav Robot Vacuum: Is The Sold-Out Gadget Worth The Hype?
June 21, 2024 - The robot vacuum was able to hoover my 2-bedroom apartment twice before it had to return to the dock for a recharge, so I’d say it passed the battery life test. To empty the dust bin, all you need to do is pull the handle up, unclick the dust bin, hold it over the trash can, and push the big red button on it. IMO, the ease of disposal is probably one of the winning features of the vacuum. The Dyson Eye that sits atop is highly accurate.

Dyson 360 Eye™ review is in the works.. - Robot Reviews
August 10, 2017 - I almost got a Dyson when I wanted to upgrade to clean new carpeting a year and a half ago but it was not available quite yet then outside of Japan, and its technical details raised a number of doubts for the intended use. Dyson seems to be devoted to getting their signature cyclone extraction realized in a robot, and using the tech developed for their stick vacuums.

I’m just going to come out and say it: Dyson’s latest robotic vacuum, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav, is pretty great. It’s now available to purchase for $1,199, but I was lucky enough to try a loaner from Dyson before its release. I gave my upright vacuum the month off to get a first look at home.

Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum review: Dyson should just stick to upright vacuums | Mashable
Dyson 360 Vis Nav
Dyson says that its 360 Vis Nav is the most powerful robot vacuum on the market. Could this robot vacuum that doesn't mop or self-empty possibly be worth $1,000? Dyson's first robot vacuum in almost 10 years should be way better than it is. Tenacious suction power alone doesn't make up for its disappointing edge coverage or lack of self-emptying and mopping, both of which should be givens at such a steep price point.

Dyson Vis Nav 360 Robot Vacuum
I don't normally review robots that only vacuum, but this was a Dyson, and I was anxious to try the vacuum with the most suction power ever in a robot. The simplicity starts at unpackingBefore I get into more details, I want to celebrate one highly welcome aspect of the Dyson 360 Vis Nav that most people probably won't think about: it's very portable.
