You only need to download it once. If you use the first link i recommend clicking on Download Packages and then download the Eclipse IDE for Java Developers for your OP. That's how i always do it. The second link seems the be the same thing. More on reddit.com

Writing Java in Eclipse Che - Container based IDE

I have been looking a Che a bit because of some situations at work.

We have a lot of non-technical people working with our code base maintaining KBs and rule bases.

One of the major problems we have is getting people set up. We can't expect them to set up an IDE really so I have created an Eclipse distro for our department with everything configured as a baseline. But maintaining it is a hassle and then getting people updated is a hassle.

I would love to be able to have something where we can make updates and then whenever someone loads the IDE, they will load the latest image or something.

Is that sort of what Che was designed for?
