If you wanted something more robust than that a hardware fan controller with software integration like the AquaComputer Quadro/Octo is fantastic (but significantly more expensive considering the other options are free). Hi all,
Having heard horror stories about motherboard manufacturers filling your PC up with bloatware (and having used a fair amount of it in the past), is MSI Center really my only solution to control the 4 case and 2 CPU fans I have in my "new" (read: resetted) build? If not, what should I be using? What I'd appreciate isn't too complex, really just being able to set a custom fan curve and leave that running in perpetuity? I'm not sure if there's BIOS control of fans the motherboard I have (B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC) but a single way to bring it all together would be fantastic. None of them are RGB, so I don't need to worry about controlling that at least.

Try digging around the bios. There are probably some options there. Downside is you have to reboot into the bios to make changes.

Here are my fan curves the cpu header isnt my cpu its my case fans. The โpumpโ is my aio fans. Hope it helps you, i have all really quiet pwm fans so i run them at higher speeds than some folks, i still cant hear them. So you might need to thrn yours down a hair :) cpu is a 13700k gaming temps are in the 73c ballpark, so that might help you adjust to your liking

I have found that the 'standard' setting in bios isn't far off once you calibrate the fans. And while it does no harm, I think running your front fans as a group is the most efficient method and fan splitting cables allow for a lightly cleaner install with only 1 header required. But certainly I do like separating the fan groups by header as opposed to running everything off a fan hub where they all share the same speed. This kind of thing can take some experimentation to determine what works best for you. Although I prefer the simplicity of bios management (no software required), the free utility FanControl allows you to create fan curves that use the GPU temps as a source, so your case fans can begin ramping up if the GPU starts working hard (before the GPU heats up the whole system). I wish that capability existed in bios, but FanControl is the next best thing and is light on system resources. More on reddit.com
