Do I have to use a Flame Ring on my Fire Pit?
How do I choose the right fire pit shape?
What are the different types of fire pits available, and which is right for me?
See picture. The gas ring on my fire bit is completely rusted out. I’ve tried everything to remove it but nothing seems to work- it’s completely locked in there. I want to buy and install a replacement. Any advice?
Call a plumber or a fireplace guy. Check with be fireplace company and see if they service this type of thing.
Other than that, they're usually screwed in at the base of the ring. Need to pull out all the rocks and find the connection. If you have done that and can't get it off, you need a pipe wrench probably.
If it won't come off, you need bigger wrenches. Hold the coupling with another wrench and unscrew the fire ring. Then screw another one on. I'm not familiar with fire pit construction, but it seems the fire pit had issues with releasing some of the gasses due to the rocks used. The acidity from the gasses corroded the gas ring. Possibly using a different media will help releasing the gasses to prevent the new ring from corroding.
