We are about to pull the trigger on our IKEA kitchen. We have created the kitchen in the design tool, and are at the point of needing to verify the design with an IKEA professional and put the order in.
I've read that it is best to go to the store and order with someone from IKEA. The options for scheduling an appointment are In-Store Planning (90 minutes) Kitchen Consultation (30 minutes) or online Plan Verification (30 minutes). None of these options seem to fit with what what we need to do, which is verify the plan and place an order in store.
Has anyone had any experience with the in store planning options? If we schedule the 90 minute In Store Planning option will that person be able to verify the plan and place an order? Should we verify on-line, and make an instore appointment to place the order?
Thanks for any help.
Has anyone used the online planning appointment before ordering kitchen cabinets? I’ve been working on my kitchen using the online planning tool for months, and I think all that’s left is to have an ikea kitchen planner review everything. I live 3.5 hours from the nearest ikea and since you can no longer pick up your order in store, I don’t know that’s it’s worth the trip just to confirm the details of my plan if I can do it online. Furthermore, I could do the online appointment much sooner than making it to ikea in person, thus getting my order submitted sooner and hopefully getting my cabinets sooner! Thoughts or experiences?
I’m in the process of completely resigning my kitchen. The kitchen will be in a new space in the house so we are creating an entirely new floor plan. An architect helped me figure out the layout but I was hoping to work with an IKEA kitchen designer to create the look and layout as well as build an island. I’m worried I may be expecting too much from the ikea team and they may not be able to help me create the flow and functionality I am hoping for. Has anyone worked with the Ikea team to completely redesign your kitchen and what was your experience like?
