How do you control the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro?
If you’d like to control your playback from your phone, you can control it via voice commands, or a series of pinches and swipes. Just be aware that the location of the pinch area is closer to the bottom of the stem than it is the middle, which can be a little confusing.

For whatever reason, we couldn’t get much noise reduction out of the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro, but that might be one of those things that requires certain apps to be used with the earbuds, as the Windows computer and voice notes app by Samsung had similar results. Though the samples above might not reject outside noise all that well, it’s entirely possible that you’re going to have different results based on which client you use, or which device. It’s also possible that a firmware update could ameliorate this.
How do the EQ presets sound?
Bass boost EQ Preset
The bass boost EQ preset does exactly what you’d think it does, and boosts bass to a rather silly degree. Some may like this, we do not.
Smooth EQ Preset
This preset has a rather pronounced bass shelf that starts pretty high, at about 400Hz. Highs are a little tamped down, but to more reasonable levels than the default behavior.
Dynamic EQ Preset
This preset has a similar bass shelf to the one exhibited by the Smooth preset, but with more emphasis in the highs.
Clear EQ Preset
Our preferred EQ preset, the Clear EQ preset has the most palatable response in our opinion, and deviates from our preference curve in ways we’ve come to expect as “normal.” For example, many other earbuds have a slight dip at 500Hz as shown above, along with some rolloff in the highs past 10kHz.
Treble boost EQ Preset
Much like the Bass boost EQ preset, the Treble boost EQ preset does exactly what’s on the label: by toning down bass a little and boosting highs, leading to a perceived treble emphasis.
Balanced EQ Preset
This preset has a strong bass emphasis but also a more-restrained high end.
Can any of you guys with buds 3 pro tell me how's your battery life? Cuz mine got to 50% (with ANC) just after 1h30mins. Just want to know if mine are the only ones with this problem.
I wear earbuds every single day during work. I put them in at 7:00 a.m. everyday. Today was the first day for the buds 3 pro. The battery died at 1:00 p.m. and that's without ANC and low volume.
The best earbuds Samsung has ever made are the Galaxy buds Plus. With those I can put them in at 7:00 a.m. and they normally last till 5:00 p.m. everyday.
soundguys got only 4.5 hours, I wanted to get them but I want the advertised 6 hours, what do you guys get on anc/ambianr
Hey guys, ever since the release of the new earbuds Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. I've seen posts that the battery drains quite fast than prev gen. I also see that one of the earbuds drain much faster than the other. Anyone experienced a decline in battery life?
So ive read a couple other posts on this community or sub reddit (idk all this reddit terminology) and i seem to have the same problem as many people, my earbuds were at 20% after 3 hours of 100% loudness music + anc
Has anyone figured out why this is? Is it bad software? Samsung claims these buds can last 6-7 hours... Is it the ANC, or the UHQ as ive heard that can drain the battery, or maybe is it the voice detection feature? Or maybe samsung just needs to adapt their software? Does anyone elses B3P have a bad battery and have you guys fixed it if so?
I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro for a few days now and I’m noticing something strange. With Active Noise Cancellation turned off, I’m only getting around 2 to 3 hours of playback time. That’s way below the advertised 7 hours without ANC.
I don’t listen at full volume, and I’ve already turned off extra features like ambient sound and voice detection. Still, the battery drains fast. Firmware is up to date and I'm using the official case to charge them.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Could this be a defective unit or is this just how they perform in real-world use? Any suggestions or similar experiences would be helpful.
