Looking to get a Keyboard to accompany my Mac Mini. Do you all have any preferences or recommendations?

Currently using a Dell Wireless Keyboard (provided by my office). It’s nothing fancy, gets the job done, but with BF around the corner, I wanna try to see if I can get something “better”.

Looking for something “Fancy” in a sense of maybe some RGB, more Ergonomic, interchangeable keycaps + durable?

I have seen Keychron K3/K10 & Logitech MX recommended online.

Personally, I don’t think I can tell the difference in latency in keyboards (don’t play FPS), the most reaction I need is probs in MOBA?

NOTE: not sure if this matters, I prefer a ANSI Layout

Thanks for any Input!! :)

I’m looking for a wireless keyboard that has backlit keys; I don’t know where all the buttons are in the keyboard because I’m kind of new to computers in general. I understand that some keyboards don’t have the Mac buttons on them, so I figured I’d shoot my question here and see if there’s recommendations. It doesn’t need to be extravagant, I just need to have all the keys that a Mac keyboard should have and be backlit. I should mention that I’m looking for a full-size keyboard. Appreciate any help you guys thank you.

I've been doing a bit more gaming lately and I was wondering if someone had a recommendation for a keyboard. I've always used the stock Apple keyboard, and I was thinking of investing in a better keyboard. I've never used a mechanical one, so I'd be going of recommendations if I bought one, and I wouldn't mind some sleek LEDs and the thing that the standard iMac keyboard lacks, a Num pad.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm not too worried about compatibility, as I often use a Windows partition anyway. I'm mainly just trying to get some input from anyone who has used gaming keyboard on mac and would recommend it.

Are there gaming keyboards that are compatible? I've been looking around for both blue-tooth and wired options, but wasn't sure if the ones I looked at would work. Alternatively, I was thinking of getting something like this and replacing the cable with one that has type-c charging on both ends so it can plug into the laptop- would that work? Most of the cables that came with the keyboards were type-c with micro-usb on the other end, which is an issue with this laptop.

That's not the exact one I'm getting, just giving an example of what I'm sort of looking for.

Does anyone have recommendations for good gaming mechanical/hybrid keyboards that actually have a true Mac key layout?

I'm a big fan of the thin-profile, clickey keyboards such as the Razer Ornata Chroma, or Logitech G815/915. And I know that technically those will work on my Mac just fine, but they have Windows layouts and it's not possible (that I'm aware of) to purchase replacement keycaps for them.

Does anyone have any good suggestions or recommendations?

This is mainly for those who do use them for their work since you’re more likely to want something either more comfortable or feature rich than a casual user. At work i have a mac studio and they gave me a generic windows logitech keyboard and magic mouse which i couldn’t stand so i brought in one of those old Apple Pro Keyboards and i forgot how much i like this keyboard. It’s just really comfortable to me and a lot harder to accidentally press a key compared to the magic keyboard my imac at home has. One thing im surprised apple doesn’t have is a backlit keyboard since i like to work in the dark in my office, but since there’s usb ports on the back of the keyboard i put one of these little lights on it lol.

I’m curious what non apple ones you all are using. I’d imagine touchID is what keeps a lot of people on the magic keyboard because that’s why i can’t justify replacing my keyboard at home (that, and i still want it color matched)

I was looking around today for a mechanical keyboard that has the Mac keyboard layout and have come up empty handed. I've found a few keyboards that are compatible with MacOS, but none that have an identical layout where the CMND key is aligned with the "X" key on the right side.

When CMND and X aren't aligned keyboard shortcuts feel "clunky" and hard to execute, does anyone know of a mechanical keyboard with CMND aligned with the "X" key? ( It could also be a standard Windows keyboard with ALT aligned with "X" -- I can always remap it, it just has to feel right when using it)

Thanks!

I'm pretty new to mechanical keyboards, but I am looking for the best mechanical keyboard for mac, with RGB backlighting and tactile switches. If it had the mac layout that would be really great and perfect.

Do you have any suggestions?

I am looking for a keyboard that works almost natively with both Mac and Windows and that has the buttons and layout that an Apple keyboard offers (command, control, volume and music controls notably). I also don't like if the keyboard makes too much noise/clicking sounds but I don't expect the same level of quietness as Apple.

I saw that Keychron seems to offer this type of product but I am also open to others. Any suggestions?

Hello all! I currently have a Logitech Wave Keys keyboard for my Mac, but I need a full size gaming keyboard for my new desktop gaming PC. I use a fingerprint reader plugged into my current Logitech keyboard, and I love this feature, so I would need a keyboard that has a USB port to plug in the device. Any recommendations? I'd like to keep it under $100 if possible, but I might go as much as $150.
