Proper way to light a gaming room?
I want some LEDs to illuminate/light up my gaming room
I live in an old Queenslander style house, and for my study/craft room/ studio I just bought some of that self adhesive led strip light and adhered it onto the upper skirting and around the windows. Cost like $35 from Bunnings and came with a remote to change colour etc. Maybe not what you’re looking for and kinda basic tbh but really effective and very cheap.

Get Phillips Hue lights in there. Then with app you can dim to whatever level you want, and depending if you get color bulbs, whatever RGB color. Plus...if your ceiling fan has more than one bulb, you can name them differently and turn them off/dim independently.
Edit: they are a bit pricey though, but cheaper than putting in all new lighting.

What are the most popular types of lighting to add near gaming desks?
Many gaming keyboards, mice, and headsets are RGB enabled with color-changing effects. To enhance the lighting from these peripherals, gamers often install RGB cooling fans and LED strips in PC cases. In recent years, other types of smart LED lighting like wall panel lights are common additions near PC desks.
Do all RGB lights in a gaming room need to be made by the same brand to work together?
Although it's usually simpler if all the RGB lights in a gaming room are made by the same manufacturer, there are smart home platforms and software solutions that can integrate many different types of devices into one ecosystem.
