Well as the expression goes "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". Last year, I accidentally purchased a Spaceballs jersey from Geeky Jerseys. I went through checkout so I could understand how much a potential birthday gift would cost, only to discover "proceed to checkout" translates to "just buy the damn thing" in their lingo. Reached out to them about canceling the order but they never responded and sent it anyway. Tried getting someone to respond so I could send it back but no one bothered until I filed a chargeback and even then it took days to hear from anyone. I told my friends about it and we all decided to just split the jersey to give to our friend anyway. Figured, "well that was a bad experience, but clearly this is an outlier given their popularity, right?"
In April they announced their Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2.0 jersey was finally back in stock. Well my nerdy little heart swelled and I decided to buy one. That was April 20. A few weeks go by and nothing has come, so I reach out to them for an update. They say it'll come in 2-3 weeks. 4 weeks go by and I reach back out, they say they're backed up and will send it in the next few weeks. This keeps up all summer and fall and as of now, almost 7 months later, I still have nothing. I sent them an email at the beginning of this week saying, "I give up, just refund me" and of course, no response. I finally have decided to accept they won't send me my jersey I paid for and I need to file another chargeback.
Honestly, I'm more embarrassed than anything. In no other circumstance would I wait 7 months before reaching out to my bank but I just really wanted this jersey and wanted to support a small Canadian business making a product that makes nerdy sports fans like me happy. But they clearly don't have the abilities (or maybe even respect at this point) to take care of their paying customers. It's a real bummer, but I'd rather others learn from my experience rather than waste their time and money like I have.
