Purple used to sell a mattress topper with their grid style cushioning.
Anything else out there like it? I'm looking at latex right now, but concerned that it will be too firm for me, even with "soft" latex.

I had a 3 inch soft latex, and it was too soft(hurt my back after 1 night). Exchanged for 2 inch medium and was much better. I know all this can be daunting, but if you don't have any existing pain, it's strictly what feel you like. I use the latex in the summer, and the rest I swap out from time to time. My base is the 10 inch memory foam mattress I mentioned, and I have some combo of toppers at any given time....always at least 2. My husband thinks that I'm nuts which is why I have my own bed!

I’m looking for a gel topper (like a Purple “Gelflex Grid” or Intellibed “Gel Matrix”) that won’t break the bank. I don’t need an entire mattress, I only want the gel grid.
I sleep really hot and although I currently have a memory foam topper on my bed that’s very comfortable, I also tend to get night sweats. So I thought a gel grid would sleep cooler because it allows better air circulation.
I was able to find Alibaba dealers that sell gel honeycomb toppers directly from China for about $200-300, but I worry about the quality and potential off-gassing.
There’s a great discussion about this at https://www.reddit.com/r/Mattress/comments/glpbhr/alternative_honeycomb_tpe_topper/, and someone was able to buy “Gel Matrix from Intellibed, but it was $1,200. That seems like a lot! (Anyone have a damaged Purple mattress they wouldn’t mind cannibalizing for me? LOL)

Try to get a clearance/outlet original Purple from Mattress Firm to repurpose the grid from it - that or finding one on Craigslist e.t.c. there's not much in the way of options. Purple bought Intellibed so the only reputable versions of the grid will come from them and they don't make toppers.
