We went to Gertrude last night and loved the place. A great atmosphere, friendly and highly engaged staff, creative and tasty dishes - the 5-course menu was simply excellent. A superb neighbourhood fine dining option without overdoing it.

Not least because of that down-to-earth, typical Dutch name and because of the wonderfully typical Amsterdam location on the ever-friendly Bosboom Toussaintstraat. But of course you won't make it with a nice name and a good place, you understand that yourself.
