I was always insanely interested in Go. Ever since I first saw it in the C-drama "Hikaru No Go". It is such an interesting game.
I tried to get into it multiple times, I know the bare basics. But there are really no courses or quality tutorials on YouTube that I've found. There are only scattered individual videos. Which didn't help me much.
So what's the best way to learn without paying like $90 for a course or something? Is it possible to learn/get good for free, online?

Yes, I'd recommend joining a discord such as Beginner Go or Open Study Room and play against people there and ask for reviews of your games. Just playing a lot against people and getting reviews is already maybe 90% of your growth as a beginner and maybe even still 70% of it as a stronger player. Then, doing life and death problems on places such as tsumego hero, 101weiqi and so on will get give you a boost as well. On top of that, you can check out some youtube channels but ultimately watching stuff isn't going to get you as far as the above. That's the basics right there.
