You seem to be asking how to search for a place near a particular set of coordinates. The API documentation seems to suggest that it treats a lat/long as a query just like "pizza in new york", and you can't have more than one query. https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/urls/guide#search-action Example 3: Searching for CenturyLink Field using only latitude/longitude coordinates results in the following map. Notice that there is a pin in the map, but no additional place information is provided on the map or in the side panel: https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=47.5951518,-122.3316393 But you could probably do it in two steps - use javascript to open a map to the location requested, and then have it run a search query on the same map for a category. It works if I try it in a browser. To have the maps application do it, you might have some luck with the maps IOS API: https://developers.google.com/maps/ios/ This will likely need you to do a lot of research, learning, and testing to get it to work.
