Why do they do this so often. Take a good thing and remove it without anything to replace it. It's not how most of my work comes in but it's another point of contact and also helps boost my business listing.

Over the last year or so, there's been a definite uptick in the amount of posts in the support communities from business owners who are receiving spam in from "customers" in biz messages. But like, certainly they could have thought of a better answer than "it's not worth keeping around"

So basically I have a landscaping business and I've been trying for some time to get my business account verified. The only option I have for verification is the video. The video asks for three things...
Location should match your Business Profile (Ex. street sign, nearby businesses, surrounding area). I live on a private dirt road with no formal street sign, there's no nearby businesses.
Your business name and category should match your Business Profile (Ex. business card, branded vehicle, business tools/equipment). This shouldn't be an issue.
You're authorized to represent this business (unlocking branded vehicle, operating online business tools, proof of address). My work vehicle is not branded. What are online tools? Like my spreadsheets?? Proof of address, like a utility bill or driver's license?
The main problem I've been having, besides the ones I mentioned, is that the video never uploads. I take the video on my phone as best I can, it tries to upload then tells me video fails to upload. I've tried all the different troubleshooting techniques they offer but I just want to talk to a person about this. Is there no number I can call? No video chat?

If your video fails to upload, then you need to contact support by email. They will then forward your query to the verification department, which will get in touch with you within 24 to 48 hours with the next steps. If that goes nowhere, you can try to go for free to the Google business profile community help centre and put up a post and hopefully someone will give you some assistance there. If you have a Marketing company/SEO you can ask them for help. Or, look for a Marketing company near your home and discuss this with them at their office. Or hire someone online. Cheers

Try to keep the video as short as possible 30-45 seconds, reduce video quality also and instead of wasting time running to the street corner I used google maps on another phone and pinpointed my location on there and showed the street. I tried about 10 times before this and put time and effort into the other videos and they didn’t upload. And the video I shot the quickest and wasn’t very detailed at all with got me accepted. I think the google maps hack worked at shortening the video greatly also.
