Best way to get a “deal” on a set of appliances
We are not allowed to sell displays unless they are clearance models. These will be labeled with yellow signs and do not qualify for free delivery. The best thing to do is wait for a 10% off appliances over $398 sale and select an appliance suite that is also currently a “special buy” (the special buy logo will be on the price sign). Appliance associates cannot haggle as pricing is set by corporate. Delivery for appliances over a certain price is free and includes install of electric appliances as long as you purchase new connections (free install excludes OTR microwaves, dishwashers, and any gas appliance). Home depot has a 48 hour return policy. I'd check the other if it's better If it comes scratched, they may delay it to make it passed thr 48 hour mark then wash their hands of it Had a lady get a wash tower delivered. Came damaged. Home depot said lg would cover it. She called. I saw pics and realized the sides are destroyed. Told her lg wouldn't cover this She goes back to home depot and they won't do a thing since it's passed 48 hours even though she reported it In house service isn't a big deal as it's the manufacturers problem. As we are a retailer we sell product at marked retail price unless there is a really good reason otherwise, so usually no to haggling. Sometimes you can find scratch n' dent items depending on the store, but typically your best bet is keeping an eye out for sales. There is almost always a sale at home depot for appliances but some are better than others. Really November is the best month to buy, as we have pre-black Friday appliance sales. Those are definately the best prices of the year. But barring that, as mentioned before, look for the good sales. Certain models at certain times (usually we don't know before it happens) have a "special buy price". If you can find an appliance like this, in addition to buying when we are having a 10 percent off sale, you can get some serious savings most of the time. Buying floor models will rarely if ever result in a discount, unless it's one we are getting rid of, in which case it will usually already be clearanced/reduced. This is because we generally don't want to sell those anyways because then we need to pay to get another one shipped (not to mention buying another), and we need them to show other customers. Check online regularly to see if the ones you like are "special buy". Check out what promos we have/when they are, some are better than others. If you are interested, you can always (unless it's under 300 bucks) get no interest financing through a home depot credit card. And keep in mind, you can't stack coupons/promotions/discounts. Like if you had a mailed coupon you couldn't also get out promo discount. The same goes for military discount. It's one dicount per transaction, except in fringe circumstances that don't usually come up in appliances. Edit: as mentioned by other posters, other than the black Friday deals, 10 percent off is usually the best promo price.
