Jews, how do you feel about support for Israel from Christian Zionists? Do you think it is sincere? Should any support be accepted?
I spent several years working with this community, have several close friends still in the “industry”, and have personal relationships with some major donors who fall into this category. What you said about the Jewish suffering (or in some belief systems mass death during the rapture) is most definitely something these folks believe, but as they see Jewish people and Israel as a vehicle to their salvation they treat us with such love and compassion. It’s pretty confusing and heavy. I’ll note that these folks I worked with were in the small minority to have the big bucks to fly to Israel regularly, feed orphans, massage the feet of survivors living alone in public housing, donate a fire truck, open a police station they donated etc. Can’t deny they live to serve the Jewish people like that. Again, because blessing Israel in turn blesses them and/or makes Israel a better place, incentivizing aliyah, thereby speeding up the kick off of the rapture… Veeeeery lovely people, super kind and generous. So rare to share a love of Israel at that level with a non-Jew/Israeli, really very moving, but like yeah most definitely aren’t going to fare well in their rapture (if at all), but will help them save themselves (yay?). So yes, I’ll take the support where I can get it, but I keep it real and know where it’s at with them. More on reddit.com

How is the life in Israel for a Christian?
Most Israeli Christians I know are pretty cool with living in Israel with the exception of tensions in the old city from racists. If you go to the JLM Old City and go to the book store that you see when you walk in to the right- it’s run by Argentinian Christians who have a similar story More on reddit.com
