Such a hassle. I found a solution involving a script that will run trough Google Photos (web) to then group them into small chunks and download them. With original resolution as well as the EXIT metadata (location, time,...) Having over 3.5TB+ on Google Photos, I've spent nearly 2 days to figure out this solution, which also involves a remote computer (as I obviously didn't have enough space on my laptop + the download/reupload time would have been crazy) This was so frustrating so I'm almost considering pushing this as an online service/SaaS to people to use. If anyone else is running through the same issue, feel free to DM me. I'm also genuinely curious, how much would you be ready to pay for such a service? Then I can figure out if it's worth bulding something public.

Tap and hold, click Save Image. It should appear in Downloads folder if you're on android (either in "file manager" or in "downloads" app) or in Gallery/Photos/.... If it's nowhere to be found, then you should download a different browser from the google play store like firefox, opera or duckduckgo and download it from there.
