Hi everyone,
A few days ago, I sat on the reclining chair that you will see on the first picture. I felt something give up at the edge of the seat (right where your knees would rest). I took some pictures from the damage, it looks like one of the piece of wood of the seat was held by a bunch of wood staples.
I would like to know what is the best course of actions to fix that piece of wood back to the seat frame?
Furthermore, this chair is supposedly an expensive one, it was a gift from my sister 7 years ago. I was wondering if it is normal that an high end chair like this would be built with wood staples like that?
Thank you for you help in avance and have a great day!
Hi everyone. I’m trying to fix my mom’s couch. There’s a recliner on each side, and both are broken.
It’s a lever style handle. I took out the screws, and the cable seems to be connected normally. Photos
I flipped over the couch, and the rest of the cable also seems fine. It was still connected to the proper piece inside. I took this picture after manually opening the recliner, so you could see it better. Photo
As stated, when I push on the bar, the recliner does open. It’s just the lever doesn’t do anything. Here’s a video of what happens when I try to use the lever.
What can I do to repair this? The couch is pretty new, and she’s just gonna buy a new one because of this issue. I’d love to fix it up.
Thanks!
