Wanting to get a depit card for my boys
We went with capital one for our kids. But that’s our primary bank so it was very easy to add. They have their own log ins, I can see everything. The older kids have Zelle. We’ve been very happy with everything. More on reddit.com

Best debit card for teenager (US)
Many banks offer free checking accounts for teens with no minimum balance. Open one at the same place where you do your own banking. Add yourself as an authorized signer, so you can see the account when you login and can easily transfer money back and forth. The spending limit is then simply how much money is in the account. Sometimes it'll hit $0. That's okay. More on reddit.com

Is there a bank account I can open for my teen, that allows him to have a debit card and online banking that I also monitor? (Not chime or cash app)
Major banks offer teen or high school checking accounts, you’re required to be a signer on the account and be a guide for them while they learn how banking works. Chase requires you to already bank with them or have an account of your own, WF doesn’t and I’m not sure about BofA but I know they have one. During the summer time they have promos for back to school, your kid might be able to get like a $50 bonus for the account. More on reddit.com

Can I get a debit card for my child?
Many banks today provide the option for parents to apply for debit cards for their kids. It’s often easier to apply for a debit card for a child because the parent can just open a joint checking account to get started. However, parents should also be mindful of the age limits and other specific requirements that may hold them back from getting a debit card for their kid. In most cases, the minimum age for a debit card is 13.¹

Can I give my 12-year-old a debit card?
This depends on how ready your child is to take on this responsibility and the bank in question. Giving your 12-year-old a debit card is fine if they demonstrate the maturity and ability to handle money responsibly. However, most banks require kids to be at least 13¹ to open a teen checking account, through which they can get their own debit card. If you want to start their debit card journey at 12, you may be limited to prepaid debit cards.

Looking at Greenlight or Accorn Wanting to set up a debit card for my boys. 8 and 14. Looking for good value and easy to use. Pros and cons of both please. I need it for 2 kids. I've asked around about pricing and everyone pays a different price for each one. I can't decide it between either one of them because I like both features. I like the chore options on both. And I like that they have their own app.
