So in March of last year we signed up for the year of Calm Premium plus Netflix through Plus Play. After signing up we immediately cancelled so we didn’t forget and let it start charging after a year without being prepared for our bill to increase.
Fast forward to when Verizon announced the Netflix/Max bundle beginning of this year. I was curious to see if I could get it going while still on the year of Netflix we already had. When I ‘continued’ the Netflix subscription on Plus Play it changed the status not to ‘Active’ or ‘Cancelled’, but to an in-between status with a message stating ‘Your subscription will be available soon’.
I figured, oh well, I’ll just change to the Netflix/Max perk once my year of Netflix was up. Only it….is still working, despite our account still not being charged. Calm has stopped working, but Netflix is still carrying on as if we have an active subscription.
We originally signed up for Calm + Netflix on 3/13/23, so it’s definitely been a year. I’ve checked Plus Play and our Verizon bill up and down and there are no charges for Netflix anywhere. If I login to Netflix it says my account is managed by Verizon.
I’m hesitant to call Verizon cause I don’t want to fuck this up, but I’m curious, did I somehow accidentally get the system to think we’re still paying for Netflix even though we’re not?

How were you paying for Netflix prior? Did you prepay a certain amount. It could be that when your promo ended it flipped back to the previous method. Go to Netflix and look at your account. If it says “managed by Verizon” or something like that, enjoy the freebie.

I had this happen with Apple Family perk. I got it then like 2 weeks later changed my mind. It worked for like 5 months and I wasn’t being billed for it. Then, I got an email telling me my subscription was cancelled. It will eventually get found ………….. maybe?
