Just got an update from the Windows Store too. Mine went to version 9.6.838.0. I don't seem to be having any issues with mine. Have you tried resetting the app? Click Start Type "HP Support Assistant" If Windows does it's job the "Best Match" should be the HP Support Assistant app in your Start Menu. Right click on the App name on the start menu and Select "App Settings" From there you have 3 progressive choices: Terminate - this should force the app to close and if you launch it again it will hopefully work. If not; Reset - This will delete anything the app remembers and basically factory reset the app. If you have signed into your HP account you'll need to re-sign in after clicking RESET Uninstall - you can try deleting the app completely and reinstalling it. Hey, I updated HP Support Assistant from Windows Store but the update broke the app so I had to reinstall it. Anyone else having the same issue with that update?
The version number that I downloaded from the HP website is 9.6.714.0 and the version from the Windows Store was higher but I did not note down its number.

Well you're very lucky because the updared store version 9.6.838.0 is still borked for me and for others in the hp support forum. It works until a restart. I was restarting my computer tons yesterday too and HPSA still worked fine, but only because it was still on 9.6.7410.0. It got updated by the MS Store this morning and sure enough it workef, UNTIL the computer was restarted. Same error on launching as before. I don't have AMD drivers and have had no issues updating anything else and nothing else is malfunctioning for me. Glad your issues are sorted, but they are not yet for all.

Yeah i just download and installed a fresh windows 11 on my victus laptop weird thing is after i downloaded HP support assistant to auto detect and download necessary drivers to this specific laptop it just says "Everything is up to date" WTf??? then i tried manual download from the site, downloaded a driver but after i run it nothing happened, and when they ask me to download drivers they want me to do it on HP support assistant(which doesnt work at all).
And i tried letting the website detect what drivers needed for my laptop, it wants me to download "Framework" something, its a 7zip file, again it shows an error " installation unsuccessful..
Whats going on?

You get all the drivers from Windows update itself.

Downloading drivers through hp website and choosing HP SA option to install, won't work, there some bug, you can do manual installation. Since you reinstalling windows not necessarily delets drivers and if it does, it's automatically downloaded via win updates.
