We were gifted a Hubble Nursery Pal Dual Camera thinking it would be a fancy gadget for the nursery.

Firstly, everything is hidden behind a paywall/subscription. This includes: cry detection, PiP (ability to multitask the monitor and another app on your phone), cloud storage, more than 2 device connection, baby zones, split screen, video diary, etc. BUT ALL OF THESE ARE ADVERTISED ON THE BOX THAT IT COMES WITH IT AND NO MENTION OF A SUBSCRIPTION.

Secondly, I submitted a review in the Apple App Store saying the motion sensitivity is too high (even when I turned it down in settings) and was annoyed receiving a million notifications.

They responded via email with this:“Apologies for the inconvenience.

As per our records the motion sensitivity was not set to low.

We have updated it to low now from the backend.

Kindly write back to us if you continue to ​get high number of motion alerts.”

Hubble somehow connected to the device without my permission or knowledge until after the fact based on an App Store review.

I have, in fact received less notifications since. When we saw this email, we unplugged the device.
