I like this piece A LOT but I finally end up not buying it but to buy only the shelves, ie, the bookcases. My issue with this piece is that, I want the base to stick out, so it’ll feel more sturdy. Something like the Havsta series. But the Havsta series doesn’t have the base as drawers which I want (it’s a pain to bend down and drag things from a cabinet). My final solution would be to buy something like the Sangesand, and put bookshelves on top. But it would be a project many years later Answer from 191069 on reddit.com

I really like this item, in the sense that I’m looking for a shelf/drawer combo thing. I saw this in the store and I’m a big fan of this red color. My hesitation is the cost. I know the drawers aren’t of great quality in terms of sturdiness and going in straight. I feel like $479 is high. If this were $300 it would be a no brainer purchase for me.
Any thoughts on the price to quality ratio of this item?

I purchase two for our dining room because I really wanted the glass door and drawers combo. The quality is what you expect of ikea, but treat it nicely and it should last. It’s a good looking piece.

We’ve had one for several years and quite like it. We didn’t have issues with crooked drawers or anything. Also, the feet on this made it much easier to level than the BILLY bookshelves we got. Would recommend as a purchase.
