Yeah so this might be a little late but I fixed my problem like this:
- Go to Settings/Preferences
- Select Project Interpreter
- And press the + button on the left side
That + sign
- Search for requests
- And press Install Package

You need to configure the project interpreter in PyCharm:
- Go to Settings/Preferences
- Select Project Interpreter
- Click the little gear and click Add...
- Select the appropriate interpreter (whether a virtual environment or system python installation)
python - ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'requests' in PyCharm - Stack Overflow
"No module named 'requests'" when it is installed
How do I install requests module in pycharm ?
No module named 'requests'
Here are the screenies. Successful installation of requests, and the error PyCharm gave me.
Does anybody have a solution?
you can use this :
just go to file > sitting > project : name > project interpreter > add > search and install
I am guessing you have not set your interpreter or installed the necessary packages in the interpreter in PyCharm.
- Can you check in your
File -> Settings There, on the side panel, you can open your Project: <project_name> and check Project Interpreter
This will show the interpreter and the installed packages which you can use.
If the interpreter is empty, you need to add it.

Hope this helps.
Hello, when I do 'import requests' it causes an error that tells me that there is 'No module named 'requests'' and ends the output
However I know I have requests installed because when I do pip install requests it says the requirement is already satisfied. Can anyone help?
You installed requests into a different Python installation. The /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages is the site-packages directory for the Mac OS X /usr/bin/python installation.
PyCharm is not currently configured to use that Python installation; check what Python is being used either by looking at your PyCharm settings, or by asking Python directly with:
import sys
print(sys.executable)
Note that PyCharm can handle package installations for you as well; rather than use the command line pip consider using PyCharm, as it'll use the currently configured Python installation in that case.
install package name "request" from pychram package setting. then it will be work fine.
Hello, super beginner in python, just watching some LinkedIn Learning courses. Using VS code.
For a webscraping project using a weather API I'm supposed to use requests for getting the data, but it just tells me:
"requests" is not accessedPylance
Import "requests" could not be resolved from sourcePylancereportMissingModuleSource
I have tried a couple of things: installing a previous version of python, making sure I only have one version, checking I have PIP installed, re-installing the python and pylance extensions in VS code, installing all the PIP versions inside the scripts python folder, restarting and re-opening everything. Tried to set interpreter in VS code at it gives me an error? ( command python.SetInterpreter not found ) Clicking python in the lower right corner of VS code doesn't give me more python options. Nothing so far.
What's going on?
