I think it's a incredible movie that you gotta pay a fair amount of attention to or your not gonna understand it fully.
Whenever I see lists or videos about heist films I never really see inside man brought up much. It’s a damn fun and engaging film from the very beginning. With a great cast, good writing, and a nice twist to it. For me it’s up there with heat and oceans 11, and hell it’s one of the films that I’ll always be more than happy to sit and down and watch and imo is one of Spike Lee’s best films. Clive Owens calm but deadly and straight forward ness. Denzel Washingtons humor and intensity. Jodie fosters quick wit. And Christopher Plummer just being great as always. I loved the twist and how the crew were able to hide themselves in plain sight and not get caught. And how there was that twist regarding their motivation and goals. Overall it’s a film that’s alright forward, engaging, fun to watch, and interesting and it’s not talked about enough in comparison to other great heist films. What do you guys think? What are your thoughts on it? Is it good? Bad? Average?
Like you said, it’s a pretty good, straightforward, “Hollywood” style Spike joint. Some memorable lines, the obligatory Spike Lee dolly-shot, good cast.
There’s this old saying, when there’s blood in the streets… somebody’s gotta go to jail
It's a lot of fun. I'll always think fondly of seeing it in the theater with my dad, who's from Eastern Europe and recognized Enver Hoxha's voice immediately.
