As an 15 PM user yes it’s over exaggerated. Only warms up when charging or charging in my hot car. Used to get hot random times with YouTube or Amazon but I think that got fixed by apps. I don’t use IG or Facebook though so maybe that’s why. Edit: I meant yes it’s over exaggerated. I don’t really have a problem with the phone tbh. Only 5G heavy load like FaceTime gets it real warm. I just switched back to iPhone after years on android. I watched a lot of videos and heard a lot of people talking about this phone overheating to hell and back and thought to myself “yeah that wouldn’t happen to me”
Well unfortunately it happened battery started draining too quickly and phone started heating up while I’m browsing safari. I was annoyed and sad about it.
After a day of this I turned the phone on and off again and it’s back to normal so now I’m wondering are all the people who said that they had “faulty iPhones” just the opposite of tech savvy? Or is this an actual issue on some iPhones?

iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max seems to have a lot more reports of overheating than any previous iPhone.
I’ve had problems with overheating since receiving my iPhone 15 Pro Max soon after launch. Almost every day iCloud Photo upload is paused and several times a month charging is paused due to overheating. This is even the case in a cold air conditioned room.
I’m hoping this issue has been fixed in the iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max.

My wife and I both have 15 pro maxes and never had any overheating problems, even when used outside in the summer. Did you ever have the Apple Store check it out?

You’re hearing from the vocal minority which is always the case. Millions own these phones and have no issues and we just happen to hear from maybe a few thousand voicing issues. So many factors can also cause a phone to get warmer than it should like constantly high screen brightness and extremely hot environments etc. in rare cases you might just have a defective phone and I’d personally struggle to get my 15 Pro Max I’ve had since launch get warm let alone hot.
