It’s important to understand that Israelis want the war to end because they don’t want more soldiers to die and are afraid the hostages will die if the war continues. They are unanimous in their understanding of what the war with Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah, and the Houthis is about - jihadist ideology bent on killing Jews and destroying Israel. They also believe the war with the Palestinian Arabs in general has never really been about the “two-state solution”. That too has been a 100 year war to prevent sovereignty by the Jewish people.
